South Point collected Rs 40 lakhs for the Aila victims from students and members of staff and part of this corpus has been spent in the first phase to provide construction materials, through Institute of Climbers and Nature Lovers (ICNL), an NGO based in Annepur, Satjelia.

Shri Subhas Naskar, State Minister for Irrigation and Waterways, Shri Chittaranjan Mandal, Gosaba MLA, along with the South Point representatives and Pradhans of both the Panchayats, attended the ceremony at Annepur to symbolically hand over the homes to the affected villagers of Annepur, Dayapur, Jamespur, Chargheri, Emlibari, Parasmoni, etc. Victims of wildlife attacks and families with no earning members were given preference while deciding upon the beneficiaries of this unique project to provide direct relief to the affected.
