There are 5 caps :- 3 blue and 2 red. Three people are made to stand in a queue one after another. Three random caps out of the five are put on top of the 3 persons, one cap for each person. The rest of the two caps are thrown away. Each person starting from the back was asked which colour cap he was wearing. The one standing at the last position in the queue didn't know the correct answer and hence he didn't answer and so did the person in the middle. Finally the person standing in first could answer correctly which colored cap he was wearing. How?

Note: The 3 persons cannot move their hands, they cannot see backwards, there are no mirrors or other reflecting surface present, they cannot talk to each other, there are no other person involved.

the 1st chap's cap was blue.

the last fellow could have identified his cap had he seen 2 reds, but he couldnt, so he obviously saw 1 red n 1 blue OR 2 blues. then the 1 in the middle, had he seen a red cap in front would have known his own cap colour, but he didnt, so he saw a blue cap in front. thus the 1st guy could tell the colour of his cap.
