Hi...Naushad Here.

I was thinking of building an astronomy club in school and i can bet many of u guys out there are really interested in the subject.

Astronomy is the oldest science and nowadays is the most exciting and interesting one.
We can study stars, motion of other celestial bodies, make planned visits to Astronomical Organizations and much more

If u are interested....plz reply...or contact me.

Really nice to hear that so many of us are interested in the subject...........

I have consulted the school authorities and they want to build the club.....

But we have to provide them with some basic ideas about the club..............Its infrastructure........working methods.......etc..

So if any of u have some bright and innovative ideas coming up his or her head................please share it with me.......

My email id is neoobserver@gmail.com

Thanks to all of u......

I would indeed like to be a member of the upcoming astronomy club in sphs...
first thing is to set a time for the club which must not be during school hours.
projects, activities etc designed by students/teachers ......the school perhaps has some basic apparatus that we can use for our purpose
there are many common things related to astronomy that many of us are not even aware of.....we must try to circulate those information to as many as possible by means of activities, projects etc.
"some misunderstandings and myths witnessed among the general public surrounding the nature of the universe are…
The north star is the brightest star in the sky
Jupiter has a solid surface
The sun burns – just like the wood in your fire place
The moon is further from the Earth than the planets
The sun goes around the earth
We have seasons because the earth gets closer and further from the sun in its orbit
Gasses are not effected by gravity
The universe is thousands of years old
There is no gravity in low earth orbit
Aliens have landed on the Earth and NASA is hiding the evidence(OK, I can’t really dispute this)" [AN EXTRACT FROM A WEBSITE]

we should try and drive out these misunderstandings from people...through making charts, posters etc.
we should request the teachers to be involved....and a set of rules is to be composed..which perhaps the seniors can do better.....
ALL THE BEST ...HOPE THE CLUB WOULD BE A SUCCESS
