The Inter-house Drawing Competition for Classes VI to VIII was held in the School premises on Friday, April 26, 2019. The pupils participated with great gusto and enthusiasm. The topics for the event were Rabindra Jayanti for Class VI, Independence Day for Class VII and Durga Puja for Class VIII. Smt. Sima Ghosh Bhattacharya, Smt. Krishna Sardar, Smt. Bageshree Dutta and Sri Chandraval Mukherjee, judged the event. The result of the competition is as follows:-

Audit in regard to the renewal of OHSAS 18001:2007 certification was done at South Point High School by BSI on Thursday, April 25, 2019.
Pupils of Class XII (Commerce) attended a Career Counselling Session conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 in the School Auditorium. Mr. Sumit Binani, the Chairman of the Institute’s Eastern India wing conducted the session. Mr. Sanjib Sanghi, Fellow of the Institute, and Ms. Sushmita Sen, the Student Counsellor were also present.
The preliminary round of Satrangi (Inter-school Singing Competition) was held at the School premises on Monday, April 22, 2019 in which 12 teams from the premier schools of the city participated. The judges for the event were Sri Suvam Moitra and Smt. Paloma Majumder. The eight teams which qualified for the finals were Adamas International School, Aditya Academy (Secondary), Delhi Public School (North Kolkata), Future Campus School, Lakshmipat Singhania Academy, Mahadevi Birla World Academy, The Heritage School and the host school, South Point High School.
The Preliminary Round of Cerebrate (Inter-school Debate) was held at the School auditorium on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 in which 13 teams from the premier schools of the city participated and six teams qualified for the final. The finalists are Adamas International School, Birla High School, Gokhale Memorial Girls School, Lakshmipat Singhania Academy, Mahadevi Birla World Academy and the host school, South Point High School. The judges for the event were Sri Subir Datta and Smt. Shampa Banerjee.
The Principal addressed the parents of the pupils of Class XI (Science) on Saturday, April 20, 2019 in the School Auditorium.
Col. Tapas Ranjan Bera, an ex-student of South Point, of the Madhyamik batch of 1982, and presently the Commanding Officer, 39 Bengal Battalion of NCC, addressed the pupils of Class XII on Thursday, April 18, 2019 in the School Auditorium, to make them aware about the career options in the Defence Services. This programme was held as part of Pointer Connect, a joint initiative of South Point High School and South Point Ex-students’

Five pupils of Class XII [Utsav Basu, Apratim Dhar, Abhranil Das, Sombit Gupta and Rounak Mukhopadhyay] accompanied by Sri Aparesh Das, teacher of Chemistry, attended the National Workshop on ‘Recent Advancement in Science and Technology’ at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Narendrapur, on Saturday, April 20, 2019, organized by the Industrial Chemistry Department of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Belur Math. Eminent Scientists including two S.S. Bhatnagar awardees discussed different aspects of recent trends in scientific and technological research.

The School Team (Senior Girls & Junior Boys) participated in the Amio Gupta Memorial Inter-school Table Tennis Championship-2019 held at Ballygunge Institute from April 13, 2019 to April 16, 2019. Both the teams entered the final and won the Runners-up Trophies.
