A refresher training programme on First-aid and Fire Fighting in compliance with OHSAS 18001:2007 was held for the Emergency Response Team in the School premises on Saturday, September 01, 2018. Smt. Aditi Maity conducted the First-aid Training and the Fire Fighting Training was imparted by an instructor from M/s. Safeway. All members of the Implementation Team, Internal Audit Team, the Laboratory Staff, the Lift Operator, the staff of the Fast Food Centre and other invitees attended the programme.
Practical Examinations for Physics, Chemistry and Biology for Class XII Half-yearly Examinations began on Wednesday, August 29, 2018.
Half-yearly Examinations of Classes VIII, XI & XII began on Friday, August 31, 2018.
A team comprising Angikar Ghosal – XII J, Srijon Jana – XII J, Amlan Sanyal – XII E and Prayas Sanyal – XII A, participated in the Don Bosco Jubilee Quiz on August 16 & 17, 2018 at their school premises. South Point High School received Silver Medals in Business, Science & Technology and Senior General Quiz. They also received Bronze Medals in Sports Quiz.
The Independence Day programme in School commenced with the Flag Hoisting Ceremony. This was followed by the Investiture Ceremony. The CCA pupils presented Patriotic Songs and Folk Songs followed by Elocution and Mouthorgan playing. The Prize Distribution for various Inter-house competitions were held after that. The programme ended with the singing of the National Anthem.
The first part of The Telegraph awards was held at South City International School on Saturday, August 18, 2018. South Point High School received Certificates of Honour for:

The Priyamvada Birla Scholarship will be awarded every year, starting from 2013, to meritorious students belonging to the low income group, pursuing their studies in under-graduate courses in Colleges and Institutes in West Bengal on Merit cum Means Basis.
