On April 10, 2018 all students and members of staff were treated to ice-creams on the occasion of the 65th Foundation Day of South Point, which was celebrated on April 1, 2018.

The new session for Classes VII & VIII began on Thursday, April 12, 2018.

Answer-scripts of the Annual Examination (2017-2018) were shown to the pupils of Classes IX & XI on Monday, April 09, 2018.

Results of the Annual Examination (2017-2018) for Classes IX & XI were declared on Friday, April 13, 2018.

Teachers were trained by the resource persons of M/s. Chalissery Fibre To Home Technologies Pvt. Ltd. for handling smart board for Class VI on April 03 & 04, 2018.

The Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2018 was held on Sunday, April 08, 2018 in the School premises. The total number of candidates designated to the School was 480.

The Principal addressed all members of the teaching staff on Thursday, April 05, 2018 in the School Auditorium.

The new session for Class VI (2018-2019) began on Friday, April 06, 2018. The Principal welcomed and addressed all pupils in the School Auditorium.

Some students, who had appeared for the 2nd Level of the 20th National Science Olympiad, have done quite well. Akshay Agarwal of Class III F (Morning), now in Class IV, will be getting a certificate of Zonal Excellence. Diptangsu Parbat of Class IV D (Afternoon), now in Class V will be receiving a cash prize worth Rs.1000, a Zonal Bronze Medal and a Zonal Certificate for having secured the 5th Zonal Rank. Dwaipayan Mandal of Class V E (Afternoon), now in Class VI secured the 10th Zonal Rank and will also receive Rs.1000, a Zonal Bronze Medal and a Zonal Certificate.

The 65th Foundation Day of South Point was celebrated at South Point School on Sunday, April 01, 2018. Members of Staff who had completed 35 and 25 years of service were felicitated with mementoes and cheques. A cultural programme was presented by the staff members of South Point School and South Point High School. The teachers of the High School presented a programme which was named “Phool Phutuk Na Phutuk …. Aaj Basanta”.

The third list for admission to the Science Stream and the second list for admission to the Commerce Stream of Class XI were put up on March 28, 2018.

The final phase of the Counselling Session for admission to Class XI (Science Stream) was held on March 29,

11 pupils and 3 teachers participated in a camping programme under the International Award for the Young People, at Bali-II Island, Sundarban from March 29, 2018 to March 31, 2018. They were taught commando net walking, Burma Bridge Crossing, Spider net climbing, self cooking, First-aid, Nature Study, etc.
