Olympiad
The International Mathematics Olympiad Examination was held in the School premises on Thursday, December 13, 2018 for the pupils of Classes VI to VIII. A total number of 608 pupils took the test.
Workshop
A lecture-cum-interactive session on “Anti-addiction” was conducted by Mr. Bobby Chakraborty, a well-known actor and activist, on Thursday, December 13, 2018 in the School Auditorium, for sections E, F, G & H (Morning & Afternoon) of Class VIII. The pupils of the Morning Session attended the session from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and the pupils of the Afternoon Session attended the session from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Social Activity
Pupils of Class VI (M) participated in the classroom cleaning activity in the zero period on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.
Pupils of Class VIII (M) participated in the classroom cleaning activity in the zero period on Wednesday, December 12, 2018.
Pupils of Class IX (M) participated in the classroom cleaning activity in the zero period on Thursday, December 13, 2018.
Pupils of Class VII (M) participated in the classroom cleaning activity in the zero period on Friday, December 14, 2018.
18 Sacks / Cartons each containing food items, toiletries, biscuits and juices, donated by the pupils of the School, were handed over to the Little Sisters of the Poor and the Missionaries of Charity, on Saturday, December 15, 2018.
Examination
The Practice Test for Class XII began on Monday, December 10, 2018.
The Practice Test for Class X began on Wednesday, December 12, 2018.
Participation / workshop
The SPICMACAY Club of South Point High School organized an Orientation Programme for the members of the Club on Monday, December 10, 2018. Retired Professor Siddhartha Chakraborty from IIT Roorkee, was the Resource Person along with Sri Amol Mukherjee, Coordinator of the Kolkata Chapter of Spicmacay. He talked about the purpose of the organization with a presentation and also screened a short film on Spicmacay. It was indeed a learning experience for the pupils.
