As a precautionary measure, it has been decided to keep away pupils from School for the time being.

Hence, the schedule of showing answer scripts to pupils of Classes VI, VII and VIII is being deferred till further notice.

Any further decisions taken on the above will be communicated to the guardians in due course.

For all Guardians – Nursery to Class V

The school has decided to take the following precautionary measures to avoid gathering of a large number of children in the school premises for the time being, in view of the COVID-19 outbreak:

  • Distribution of the Final Term Report Cards for Nursery to Class III, scheduled for March 17, 2020 stands deferred. A fresh date will be announced soon.

  • All Saturday Activity Classes, including Abacus, as well as, Cubs & Bulbuls stand suspended till further notice.

  • The Annual programme of the School’s Saturday Activity Club, scheduled to be held on March 21, 2020 has also been postponed till further notice. All rehearsals related to the same stand cancelled.

  • Final Term Report Cards for Classes IV & V will be handed over on March 24, 2020 to the parents. Children will not be required to come to the School. Details for the same will follow soon.

The School is closely monitoring the situation and will be taking appropriate measures to ensure that health advisories as issued by the World Health Organization, the Government of India and the State Government are being followed.

Workshop

In house Workshop on High School Social Science was held on Friday, February 28, 2020 in the School Auditorium.

Smt. Debrupa Ghosh, Smt. Arundhati Roy and Smt. Mithu Halder, attended a Workshop on Inclusion and Inclusive Strategies at Sushila Birla Girls’ High School on Saturday, February 29, 2020. The Workshop was organized by CBSE and conducted by experts in the field of inclusive education.

Examination

Annual Examinations of Classes IX and XI (2019-2020) began on Thursday, February 27, 2020.

Class Parties

Class parties were held for the pupils of Classes I, II and III on February 25, 2020. The children came to school in coloured clothes and were shown movies in the classrooms through interactive boards. The children of Transition also saw a movie on February 25, 2020 in the Class IV classrooms.

Class parties were arranged for the little ones of Nursery I, Nursery II and Transition on February 26, 2020. They too came in coloured clothes.

Examination

All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) 2020 commenced on Saturday, February 22, 2020. 544 pupils of the School will appear for the above Examination at Kendriya Vidyalaya-Fort William, Kolkata.
