Notice: Classes IV & V 29/08/2018

Dear Guardians,

We are happy to inform you that the ‘Fun Indoor Golf Challenge’ conducted by Protouch Golf Academy in the School recently was a huge success. Owing to the overwhelming response, the Academy has offered a special package of 8 classes for South Point School students at a highly subsidised rate with an aim to provide the participants an opportunity to learn and experience the game of Golf.

Kindly note the following details related to this offer:

• All 8 classes have to be taken between September 13, 2018 and October 14, 2018
• These classes will be held at the Golf Academy run by Protouch at Tollygunge Club
• Golf Clubs, balls and other equipment will be provided for free for this purpose
• This offer is limited to only 15 students on a first come first served basis
• This offer is only for 8 classes, students interested in carrying on after finishing these classes, will be given a special package.

NOTICE :: Class III 29/08/2018

Dear Parents,

As you are aware, your ward has been using the new version of Mindspark from the beginning of the current academic session. We are thankful to you for your co-operation during this transition phase. Though, there had been a few problems during the initial implementation of the new version, we are happy to inform that most of the issues have been resolved. However, we still find children getting locked out of their easier picture passwords. To make their passwords more secure we have taken a decision to move the students to textual passwords. The new password will be shared with your ward in school within this week so that from the week starting September 3, 2018 all students of Class 3 will have to use the textual password to login to Mindspark – both at home and in school.

Keeping with the times and rapid growth in Social media usage, we are happy to inform you that a Facebook page of South Point School has been created to reach out to you.

This page (for classes Nursery I to V) will primarily be used by the School to share information about School events and important notifications and updates of interest to the guardians. It will function as an additional channel of communicating with the guardians, however for formal communication about individual pupils, we will continue to use the existing systems that the School has.

Please note that participation fee for the National Science Olympiad will be collected at the Cash Counter of the School on August 20, 2018 instead of August 22, 2018.

The National Science Olympiad will be held in School on Thursday, November 01, 2018. The participation fee for the Olympiad is Rs.120/-. Interested pupils may register by depositing the participation fee (in cash only) at the Cash Counter of the School on August 20 or 21, 2018 between 9.30 a.m. and 10.30 a.m.
