M.P. Birla Smarak Kosh (South Point)

General

The M. P. Birla Foundation, a Public Charitable Trust, established by Shri Madhav Prasadji Birla, runs a number of schools, hospitals and other philanthropic institutions across the country. The M. P. Birla Smarak Kosh (South Point) was formed in 1995 by the M. P. Birla Foundation, under the aegis of its Chairman, Late Smt. Priyamvada Birla, by way of creating an endowment with South Point School, to motivate pupils, primarily of South Point, to dream of great things and to work towards them – both in academic and co-curricular spheres. Since then, the Kosh has, with a great degree of success, implemented many a novel scheme.

For all the pupils of various premier schools of Kolkata, a Kosh award or scholarship is held in great esteem and it is an honour to be considered deserving of one. It justifies all the hard work that the young, talented pupils put in.

In its twentieth year, M. P. Birla Smarak Kosh events have gained a stronger identity. Collectively christened “Kalakosh”, the Inter-School Competitions reinforce two decades of an uninterrupted pursuit of excellence.
