Achievement

The Board awards Certificate of Merit in each subject to the top 0.1% of the successful candidates to recognize their outstanding performance in the Senior School Certificate Examination-2019. 19 pupils from our School received this Certificate of Merit awarded by the Board with some receiving it for multiple subjects.

Classes I, II & III

Bring a minimum of one potato and one onion to give towards the social service project ‘Reaching Out’ on January 9, 2020.

It has been noticed that children are bringing money to school to buy food from the canteen which is strictly prohibited. Food from the canteen can only be bought against coupons.

The facility to buy coupons is being extended to parents from January 8, 2020 on a daily basis. The same may now be purchased from the Cash Counter between 9.30 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. on weekdays and between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm on Saturdays.

ACHIEVEMENT

Anushka Sen of Class V A (Morning) became the champion in Kick Boxing Fit Expo 2019 held at Science City, Kolkata on December 7, 2019. She won a gold medal and the champion’s cup. Anushka had also participated in West Bengal Kickboxing State Championship 2019 held at Jadavpur University, Kolkata on September 20 & 21, 2019. She became the champion in the ‘Sweat 2019’ Functional Fitness Competition, sub-junior category and secured the gold medal. She became the runner-up in the sub-junior semi-contact category and received the silver medal. She recently received her certificates for the events held at Jadavpur University.

WORKSHOP

Ms Gargi Banerjee, Head of the Department, Mathematics and Ms Seema Goswami, Teacher Consultant, Arithmetic attended the ‘Maths Sharing Session’ as, part of the CBSE Hub of Learning conducted by teachers of Sushila Birla Girls’ School on December 7, 2019. It was an enriching session where the ideas shared were simple but innovative. The event was held at Sushila Birla Girls’ School.

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLAN

As per the directive received from the Commissioner of School Education, West Bengal a detailed existing traffic management plan of South Point School along with the suggestion/recommendation to avoid congestion of vehicles near the school was submitted to his office on December 6, 2019.
