Angikar Ghosal of XI CJ and Avinandan Bose of XII CA have received a sum of Rs.15,000/- each from the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) towards the scholarship under the National Talent Search Scheme for the period from 01.04.2017 to 31.03.2018.
Participation
The School Table Tennis Team participated in the CBSE National Inter-school Table Tennis Championship held at Dr. K.N. Modi Global School, Modi Nagar, Ghaziabad from November 05 to 09, 2017.
Competition
Angikar Ghosal of XI CJ, Srijan Jana of XI CJ and Amlan Sanyal of XI CF participated in Times Inter-school Fest, organized by PACE at the Hyatt Regency on November 06, 2017. They were declared first Runner-up out of 40 participating schools. The team has received a cash prize worth Rs.5000/- from PACE, Kolkata. They have also received a cash prize worth Rs.15000/- from Times of India, a Trophy, Medals and Certificates.
Participation
Sri Joyrup Bhattacharya and Sri Suvro Kanti Shee attended the Microsoft Innovative Educators Expert (MIEE) summit, organized by Microsoft on November 18, 2017 at Indus Valley World School. The resource person was Sri Bibhuti Sinha and the focus of the summit was on the various technological innovations and resources that can be used in schools to assist in teaching.
Participation
Shresth Mahapatra of Class IV C (Afternoon) had participated in ‘Krafty Kidz’, a chess tournament. He scored 4.5 points out of 5 rounds and secured the 2nd position in the under 10 merit list. Shresth received a medal and a trophy.
Examination
Periodic Assessment-II for Classes VI to VIII, Post Midterm Examination for Class IX and Unit Test-II for Class XI began on November 13, 2017.
CBSE National Inter-school Championship

Subhayan Chatterjee and Dipanwita Guha Thakurta of XII CJ along with Haimoshri Das of XII CA received a sum of Rs.15,000/- each from The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) towards a scholarship under the National Science Talent Search Scheme for the current academic year.
Children’s Day
On Children’s Day, November 14, 2017 teachers of Classes III to V put up programmes for children in the school auditorium, as per the following schedule:
- Class III 8.00 am & 12.30 pm
- Class IV 8.45 am & 1.15 pm
- Class V 10.00 am & 2.45 pm
All children from Nursery I to Class V were given chocolates on this day. The students of Sandipan, the free evening school run by South Point Foundation also received chocolates.
Competition
Kaustav Sarkar of IX CA (A) won the title of World Champion in the category of U/18 male Kata at the 11th World Martial Arts Committee (WMAC) World Games 2017 held in Arbon, Switzerland. Arjesh Roy of VI CF (M) won the Gold Medal in the U/14 male Kumite and a Bronze in the U/14 Kata.
