On July 14, 2018 Protouch Golf Academy conducted a Fun Golf Competition for students of Class V within the school premises, the programme being an introduction to golf mainly for those children who have never played the game before. There were four sessions in all.

40 pupils of Class VIII went to Kalamandir on Thursday, July 12, 2018 to watch the musical “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” presented by the pupils of Akshar to celebrate the 20th year of the school.

130 pupils across all streams attended a one hour presentation by IDP on Friday, July 13, 2018 at the School auditorium. The focus of the presentation was the academic setups at various Australian Universities. They also touched upon the prospects in Canada and USA.

A Refresher Training on Health & Safety in compliance with OHSAS 18001:2007 for all outsourced teachers was held on July 14, 2018 in the School auditorium from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. About 50 instructors of the Computer, Yoga, Rock Climbing and CCA departments attended the training programme.

About 100 pupils of Classes IX & XI accompanied by 06 teachers went to the Convention Centre of the Government of West Bengal, Rajarhat to witness a two hour audio-visual dance and drama presentation ‘Sarzameen’ performed by Samanvay Samrat on Saturday, July 07, 2018.

The UGC-NET 2018 was held in the School premises on Sunday, July 08, 2018. The total number of candidates who were designated to the centre was 480.

Astyartha Das and Subhayu Chatterjee of XI F participated in the Inter-school Bengali Debate on Friday, June 29, 2018 at The BSS School, organized by their Bengali Department. South Point High School secured the third position out of six participating schools.

The Senior Girls (Fours), Senior Girls (Group Ergo) and Senior Boys (Fours) secured the Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals, respectively.

The Girls’ team comprised Sudarshana Patra – XI H, Janhavi Majumdar – XII F, Anoushka Chakravarti – XII F and Sreeja Basu – XI F.

The Boys’ team comprised Ankit Roy – XII (2017-2018), Pratik Gupta – XI G, Ayanava Das – XI F and Aritra Basu – XII L (2018-2019).

• The School Teams (Boys & Girls) participated in the All Bengal Inter-school Table Tennis Championship, organized by Dakshin Kolkata Table Tennis Association held at Khudiram Anushilan Kendra from May 20 to 22, 2018. The Boys’ Team secured the Bronze Medal in the Junior Boys’ Category and the Girls’ Team qualified upto the quarter final stage.

Shresth Mahapatra of Class V C (Morning) participated in the 11th KIIT International Chess Festival 2018 organised by All Odisha Chess Association & Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology at KIIT, Bhubaneswar from May 25 to June 1, 2018. He scored 5 points in 9 rounds and secured the second position in the Category C tournament. Shresth received a cash prize worth Rs.3,500.00 and a certificate.
